Stephanie A. (Kasimoff) Allyn was born in the Huntington Park Mission Hospital near Los Angeles, CA. Stephanie's family lived in the same home on Pangborn Avenue in Downey, CA for over fifty years. While a junior at a Christian university in Oregon, Stephanie met and later married David Bruce Allyn of Portland. Despite the Allyn family's acceptance of Stephanie, her immediate family (parents, sister and brother-in-law) refused to accept the Allyns, simply because they were not of Russian descent.

Since then Stephanie has worked in the Western U.S. (Washington State, Oregon and California) and Texas as a software designer and corporate trainer, legal assistant and secretary, word processor, and public school computer lab instructor. In 1986 Stephanie received her PADI Open Water Scuba Diving certification in beautiful Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii. In the 1990s she hosted half-hour Christian contemporary talk/music radio shows on then KPRO-Riverside, CA, and took training and produced cable TV programs through the Cox Cable Open Access Studios in Fullerton, CA. She has also enjoyed volunteering as an English tutor (ESL/EFL) with Laubach Literacy International through the Lutheran Church.

Currently Stephanie resides in Southern California as a technical writer producing technical documentation, policies and procedures, and instructional design. She is a senior member of the Society for Technical Communication (STC).   Full Summary
