Mark H. Chae, PhD is Professor of Psychology and Counseling and Coordinator of Academic Assessment at Pillar College, Newark, NJ. He earned both his M.A. in counseling and applied psychology (1997) and Ed.M in counseling psychology (1999) from Columbia University. He went on to earn his doctorate (2004) from the APA-accredited Counseling Psychology Program at Seton Hall University, and later completed a 2-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in forensic psychology and Public Health at Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences. Dr. Chae has held faculty appointments as Assistant Professor of psychology, William Paterson University, Assistant Professor of School Counseling and Counseling Psychology, Rutgers University, and Associate Professor of Community and Rehabilitation Counseling, Rutgers School of Health Professions. He has also served as an adjunct faculty in the Dept. of Professional Psychology & Family Therapy at Seton Hall University. Dr. Chae served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Counseling and Development, Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development, Counseling & Values Journal, and the Journal of Applied Rehabilitation Counseling. Dr. Chae has published 28 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. His articles have been published in the Journal of Counseling and Development, Archives of Women's Mental Health, Journal for Specialists in Group Work, Cultural Diversity & Ethnic Minority Psychology, Policing, Counseling & Values, Family Medicine Journal, and the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine.
