I was born in Schenectady, New York to Helen Cipperly Cloke and George Edwin Cloke, married June 28, 1939. I lived in Schenectady, 35 Linden Street, until I married Herbert Kenneth Statler, Jr, better known as H. Kenneth Statler, on February 25, 1965. I was a young bride (20) but Ken was older (25). We first lived in the Latham Village Apartments, Latham, NY.
After a year, we signed a contract for a small ranch house on Sunny Lane in Ballston Spa, NY. We lived there until the 3 children moved us out of a small home to a beautiful Dutch Colonial, 5 bedroom house in the woods in Ballston Lake, closer to Clifton Park. The children schooled their 13 years in the Shenendehowa School District. After 30 years, we picked up and moved to Fort Mill, SC near Indian Land, SC in 2008. I had had a brain aneurysm so had to retire. We moved to a Sun City near Charlotte, NC, (11 miles from Charlotte or the State Line for SC). I have sung almost my whole life and that is what is helping keep my sanity at 72 years old. My three kids are my life and then they presented me with 9 grandchildren. I am thrilled about that. Because of the incapability of doing activities like I was involved with, my non-working brain found it hard at first, but after time, my speech came back and the movement is still questionable. I still go to Physical Therapy, Emotional Therapy, and the Psychiatrist for the medicine (drug prescriptions), and then I see a Brain Specialist for annual checkups and I see the doctor once a year to check out the kidney stone condition. As far as I know, there is nothing else brewing. My story is - "My Kids and Grandkids" are my life. I wish they were closer in distance.   Full Summary
