Jim Filter is currently in his fifty-first year as a Professional Educator and Professional School Administrator. He has taught General Education Classes as large as 55 students and Special Education Classes as large as 26 students with Special Needs. Jim has been a K-6 and K-8 Elementary School Principal in General Education and also a Principal of a K-12 Special Education School. Jim has also worked in a School District Office as the Director of K-6 Elementary Curriculum. He is currently working with students who have Autism, Leaning Disabilities, Emotional / Behavioral Disabilities, and other Special Challenges. Jim has three Master's Degrees in various aspects of Education and has completed course work for a Doctorate in Education. Of course, the Research and Dissertation have not been done. At this time, Jim has no plans for retirement and he continues to be blessed with good health, abundant energy, and the firm belief that "ALL CHILDREN WANT TO LEARN" ! His varied education, vast experience, strong health, and exuberant energy are used daily to help "All Children Learn To Their Full Potential - PLUS A LITTLE BIT MORE" ! Prior to living and working in Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN, Jim was a Teacher in Racine, WI, was a Teacher and School Administrator in Eau Claire, WI, a School Administrator in Milwaukee, WI, and Elementary School Curriculum Director in Chicago, IL Currently Jim is teaching a combination third and fourth grade class of children who have very special and unique talents, gifts, and challenges. Many of these children are with Jim for their fourth school year as he started with them in first and second grades four years ago at this St. Paul Public School and he has followed them each of the last four years.
