Virginia

Virginia is a Mid-Atlantic state in the US. It has a population of over 8.6 million, and a third resides in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. Its capital is Richmond, and Virginia Beach is its most populous city. The state is aptly nicknamed "Mother of Presidents" because eight US presidents were born in Virginia. The Pentagon, the headquarters of the US Department of Defense, is located in Virginia.
