Officially known as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the state is located just west of New York and north of Maryland. It has a population of 13 million people, making it the fifth most populous state in the US. Pennsylvania is called the Keystone State as it played a vital role in building the foundation of the United States that we know today.
