Tommy L Preston, born in Carrollton, KY, 09/25/1934, lives in Murfreesboro TN. A graduate of Versailles KY High School, the University of Kentucky, and the 6th Army chemical, biological, and radiological (CBR) warfare course, he also studied foreseeability and propaganda at the University of Washington Graduate School of Communications. In 2009 Tom was chosen to attend the U.S. Army War College National Security program, at famed Carlisle Barracks in Pennsylvania. As an Armor officer, 1956 -1963, his duties ranged from commanding a battalion-size detachment including the only combat-ready CBR warfare team in the northwest U.S., to multiple Cold War missions, usually solo, both foreign and domestic. During active reserve periods he taught night attacks at Fort Knox to soon-to-be 2nd Lieutenants (Armor).

In civilian life Tom began as Kentucky's youngest professional newspaper editor. He later purchased a four-business corporation comprising two newspapers, an office supply company and a commercial printing operation. While engaged in that enterprise he founded a consulting firm, which exists today as Foresee Now, a Preston Global Extension. There, counterterrorism
and business crisis prevention, mitigation, response, and resolution became a significant emphasis along with reputation control, communication, and novel solutions to dilemmas faced by C-Suite executive. He also helped start a national magazine of interest to high school athletes.

Certified by the International Association of Counterterrorism & Security Professionals, as well as Accredited by The Public Relations Society of America, and also elected to its College of Fellows, Mr. Preston is a former chairman of the Florida Public Relations Association's Counselor's Network. His work has been acclaimed by independent sources as among the Top 12 strategic counseling, most innovative , and hot issue firms in America.

Taking leaves of absence from his various commercial enterprises to engage in public service, Mr. Preston served two Governors and a U.S. Senator as senior advisor. Later, he was appointed Executive Director of the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security. Throughout his career Tom lectured, and continues doing so at universities as an adjunct or visiting professor. He enjoys presenting lively talks before national audiences. Other past activities included helping coach two champion high school football teams, as well as board of director memberships to advance public education, tourism, local and state economic development, emergency response operations, and infrastructure creation. His professional and public service involvements have resulted in numerous awards including induction into the University of Kentucky's Hall of Distinguished Alumni.

Married for 57 years until her death in 2014, Tom and the former Carolyn Louise Points of Ashland, KY were blessed with one son, Matt. He's in his 28th year as Special Agent with the United States Secret Service.

A private pilot for decades, which better accommodated clients in 42 states, the District of Columbia and elsewhere, Tom accentuates specialization.
