Perry Lee Adkisson (March 11, 1929 - June 25, 2020) was born in Blytheville Arkansas, and resided for many years in Bryan and College Station, Texas, at which he was a distinguished professor of entomology at Texas A&M University. He is a former executive director of the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station. He was the first person to be honored with all three of the world's major prizes in Agriculture—Alexander von Humboldt Award, Wolf Prize, and the World Food Prize. He was a Caucasian, a Republican, and a Christian. By his first wife, Frances Adkisson, who died in 1995, he had a daughter, Amanda Adkisson Crockford of College Station.
