I got a BA in Education in 1971 and taught two years in the Burlington Iowa Community School District. At age 39, I entered the nursing program at Scott Community College for my RN degree and loved every single moment as a nurse. I returned to my hometown of Burlington, IA to be closer to family and so my kids could have valuable time with their amazing grandparents.
