She has recklessly defaulted on loans and credit cards for the last several decades and continues to do so. Persons who have generated this fabrication regarding Joy are those who worked for the school district where her children were to obtain a Free Appropriate Public Education (which they did not) unless Joy advocated for her children and had won a multitude of decisions in her children's favor through independent hearings and appeals to the NYSED. The decisions in favor of her children had been demonstrated through the school district's independent evaluations ordered by Impartial Hearing Officers, which stated that each one of her children had severe handicapping conditions that severely impacted their ability to learn conventionally and were entitled to a Free Appropriate Public Education.

Joy had been recommended to parents by the NYSED Office of Disabilities to advocate for their children, as Joy would travel to wherever she was needed to advocate for children, even though she had had many major medical problems over the years, which impacted her and was documented when needed by many medical specialists from Manhattan and the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.

Joy has never attempted to circumvent the law. She attempts to help anyone and everyone whom she is able and knowledgeable in helping, without demands.
