Summary: Jeremy Charles Dewitte is 41 years old and was born on 02/10/1980. He is currently incarcerated in the Florida Department of Corrections. Jeremy Dewitte is a wannabe cop, a registered sex offender, currently residing in the Orlando, Florida vicinity. Dewitte is known for his bad temper, being a serial liar, falsely claiming that he has a 4 year college degree, illegally recording people without their consent, failing to register as a sex offender, lying that he was a Captain and a Major in the Army, has served time in prison, and is well known as an impersonator of police officers through a company that he has created called Metro State, falsely claiming that he is a "state certified agent." Dewitte and individuals such as Alec Ringdahl, Randall Brocius, Steven Negron, and Miley Gardee who impersonate police officers, are contracted with him at Metro State (which is nothing more than an LLC, if even that). His team rides motorcycles and drive cars mirroring police with flashing lights, sirens, decals resembling law enforcement, in an effort to fool the unsuspecting public that they are law enforcement. Their attire is that of a police officer, with police-style pants and boots, fake police like badges, bullet proof vests, service belts with guns, pepper ball guns, tasers, mace, expandable batons, police style radios, handcuffs, flashlights and other unnecessary items needed to escort a funeral. Dewitte and his team have been known to park their vehicles next to real police cars and even arrive at accident scenes simply to get photos of their fleet "in action" next to real police cars. They even had official-looking badges made, which oddly enough, are made to look like the same ones used by the LAPD and refers to his team members as his "officers". Dewitte has even designated a "rank' for his "officers." Dewitte wears two stars to show that he is in command, and has gave his brother Dylan Vogt a Lieutenants bar to wear during funeral excorts. Dewitte and his team are not sworn officers, have not attended any police academy, and have no legal authority to interact with the public to enforce laws. Like Dewitte, some of these "officers" have their own negative history with the real police. While unlawfully recording a conversation with a female who made a complaint with the police against Metro State for unlawfully shutting down an intersection, Dewitte harrassed her by repeatedly calling her back three times after she terminated the call due to Dewitte's argumentative response. His own video shows that Dewitte ended the last call by using filthy profanity against her. An ex-girlfriend of Jeremy Dewitte claims that Dewitte and others at Metro State have made traffic stops posing as a police officer. They then let the unsuspecting motorist go with a verbal warning. As a teenager, Dewitte attended a police explorer’s program which is an extension of the Boy Scouts for school age children. He has used this to say that he was employed as a police officer. The badges that he and his team wear are not worth the metal that they are printed on. To the unsuspecting public, they appear to be law enforcement. Dewitte is a habitual felony offender dating back to 1998, when he was just 18 years old. Dewitte used his police explorer’s identification to impersonate a police officer after failing to pay $14.50 for gas at a service station. Dewitte was arrested for this incident after failing to return the next day as agreed to pay for the gas. As of May 14, 2020 Jeremy Dewitte has one open felony case in Osceola County Florida and ten open felony cases in Orange County, Florida, for failing to register as a sex offender, falsely impersonating a police officer, unlawful interception of wire or oral communication, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.When being arrested by the police, he shouts and will address the Sergeant many times, then start demanding to talk to a Lieutenant or a Captain. Dewitte has lied when he claims that he served in the Armed Forces at Fort Benning and Fort Bragg, as an Army Ranger, a military officer, claiming to have an 18 series MOS and was injured when he had a streamer and his riser popped while jumping in Falusia. Dewitte claims that this fake injury from jumping precludes him from getting a real job with the Fire Department (ignoring the fact that he is a sexual offender that would disqualify him immediately). Jeremy Dewitte claims that he spent 14 years in Iraq and Afghanistan as an Airborne Ranger, a Green Beret, and held the rank of Major. During a funeral escort, Dewitte approached a Sergeant serving on the honor guard to thank him for his service. Dewitte lied to the Sergeant that he too has military service and served as a Captain, coming across with an attitude of Big Me and Little You. He also claims to have been in Special Forces for 6 to 7 years. His claim of military service is a lie and can be proven because he was jailed in 2001, and in prison between 2005-2006, and jailed again between 2009-2011. Jeremy Dewitte never spent a day in the U.S. military, and the Armed Forces does not have any record of military service for Dewitte. Many have called for Dewitte to be charged with violating the Stolen Valor Act of 2005, a law first introduced by Democratic Representative John Salazar from Colorado. Dewitte has been inducted into the guardiansofthegreenberets.com hall of zeroes, for those that lie and claim that they have military service. He and his brother Dylan Vogt have numerous traffic offenses and arrests for impersonation of police officers. Acting as though they are police, they are known to order other motorists to pull over, drive aggressively, shout profanity and insults at other motorists, physically slap or hit other motorist’s cars with their hands, and look like law enforcement while conducting these escorts. Dewitte's own video shows him calling innocent motorists obscene and filthy names and telling them "you better figure it out real quick". His video also shows him confronting a motorist about their speed, calling the motorist a filthy name, then challenge the motorist to a fight. Dewitte was actually lucky that the motorist did not take him up on his invitation to a fight, because the motorist would have cleaned his clock. Dewitte and his team tone down their impersonation act when actual law enforcement is present. They regularly unlawfully block intersections. Dewitte's own video shows Dewitte and his team unlawfully shut down I-95 in Volusia County, Florida while escorting a line of corvettes onto the Interstate. His own video shows him bragging with profanity that they just shut down I-95. Dewitte and his team unlawfully activate electronic horns and sirens, speed, run traffic lights, and cross yellow lines coming dangerously close to oncoming traffic putting the public's safety at risk. Jeremy Dewitte was arrested in Chicago on June 25, 2019 for damaging a tow truck after throwing 5 chairs from a 6th floor balcony with 4 chairs hitting and damaging the tow truck, then throwing a chair at and threatening the tow truck driver with a pistol, who was attempting to remove his rental car which was parked illegally near Wrigley Field. One chair narrowly missed a police cruiser. During the arrest, Dewitte screamed at his wife, "Rania, you have to file charges Right Now, you have to file charges Right Now, you have to" before being placed in a police car. Dewitte also yelled out "Where's My Badge!" after telling the arresting police officers that he is a "State Certified Agent" in Florida insinuating that he is a law enforcement officer. Dewitte lied during the investigation that the victim tow truck driver pulled an orange handled screwdriver on his wife. The officer told him because he cannot control his bad temper, and so that the tow truck driver does not press charges, that he needed to eat humble pie without being snotty, and apologize to the tow truck driver. The officer told Dewitte that this is the best outcome, that he was doing this for him because he is an officer and ask Dewitte if he was correct, to which Dewitte lied again and answered in the affirmative. While apologizing, he then began to falsely accuse the victim tow truck driver of pulling a screwdriver, to which he was again corrected that it never happened. The police made it a "king" after learning that he threatened the tow truck driver with a pistol. Dewitte was charged with simple assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and criminal damage to property. He was given a $1500 bond and later released. A Police report was made for Dewitte to cover the damages that he had done to the tow truck. Dewitte later lied in a deposition to the Sheriff's Office in Florida, that he was never arrested in Chicago. Jeremy Dewitte appeared on the Dr. Phil show in 2021. On that show, he took a polygraph examination about his claim that he never impersonated a police officer. He scored a -37 on the test when questioned if he ever impersonated a police officer. A -3 was needed to pass the exam without deception. He was found to be deceptive to all the questions presented during the exam. He was not questioned about his claim of being a Major in the Army, or his claim that he jumped in Falusia while serving in the Army Special Forces. On April 7, 2021, Jeremy Dewitte's bond was revoked and he was once again taken into custody. Previous to Jeremy's current city of Ocoee, FL, Jeremy Dewitte lived in Orlando FL.
