Columbus, OH
On 01/31/2006, Harry L Nagode passed away and was 94 at the time. Columbus, OH, is where Harry Nagode had last lived but lived most his life in Montana and Sequim, Washington. Harry had many family members and associates who included Ruth Bair Nagode, Larry Nagode, Lois Nagode Lotis, Clinton Nagode, Harry Nagode, Cory, Neil, Stuart, Ty, and Tim Nagode, Patricia Nagode, Russell Nagode, James Robertson, Cindy Robertson, Zoe Nagode, Carole Steinmeyer, Karen Nagode, Sally Nagode,, Wilma Patterson, Sevinc Erdal, Michael Ballou, Karen Ballou and Kevin King among very many non mentioned family of brothers and sisters and family and friends too many to mention.. Harry had an interesting life as many things. He was told not to read after he walked around the corner and eye got pitched by fork in a barn (could not tell but he was blind in 1 eye from 8th grade on). Dr. told him not to read anymore as would strain the other eye if had only 1 eye but he would sneak off and read every Zane Grey book he could get his hands on and became very well educated, and the owner and operator of his own farm that he ran with his wife and 3 children. All 3 children went to college and did not end up farming but Harry farmed until he retired and moved back to Washington State where he built a house there himself as he had accomplished many large projects in his life and many things in his life - there was nothing he could not do. During the Depression he worked at anything he could, coal mine, running moonshine for a minute but figured he'd get in trouble for that so didn't last long, helped built giant bridges on the west coast, buildings and when hard luck ate potatoes with water every night. He was very humble and liked soup and pie the best. He loved clamming, fishing and smoking his own salmon and had his boat he took out in Washington with his fishing buddies many days. He had 13 brothers and sisters as did his wife and he was the last of them to pass. He was 3rd World Bridge champion, loved to play poker and games, and he finished most his crossword puzzles as did his wife. He very much loved his family and was extremely proud of them, and he and his wife would travel twice a year to visit their kids in Ohio, Oklahoma and Maryland and stay for 2 weeks at least as family was what they lived for. There are so many things to say but it would take a book. He was loved by so many. Full Summary
