Lewis Denn Kempfer grew up in Denver where he began his acting and singing career. From there he moved to Phoenix, studying print journalism at Arizona State University while working at the city's then-largest public relations firm. His performing career veered to country music in 1992 and with the promise of a recording artist development deal, relocated to Nashville. He returned to musical theater, performing and co-founding the Boiler Room Theatre, a professional theater company which achieved acclaim from both audiences and critics. He wrote book and lyrics for two original musicals, "That '60s Christmas Show" (2004, 2006) which was well-received by theater critics and played to consistently sold-out houses.
In 2006 by way of an attention-grabbing self-promotional campaign--including his original short film "From Concept to Completion" that won a 2007 Telly Award--Lewis was quickly hired by The Walt Disney Company where he worked as a Production Manager and occasional producer for live entertainment at Disneyland. While at Disney, Lewis developed and wrote creative treatments which translated to multiple successful special events including the first-ever Haunted Mansion Sleepover and was a co-creator of the park show "Phineas and Ferb's Rockin' Rollin' Dance Party" that ran for three years.
