Married Odel Carpenter, the same year in May and moved to KY where she lived on the Carpenter family farm, she raised two children, Her children made her a proud grandma to 4 beautiful grandchildren. Dawn went to college part time in order to raise her family and received an Associates Degree from EKU in 1999. Dawn acquired her first business in 1999 The Electric Beach Tanning Salon, which was voted "Best of the Best in 2000. She then sold out and changed professions and became a project manager for 2 yrs bidding steel erection jobs for a company that built Walmarts, she contracted 13 Walmart stores in that 2 yrs. before quitting and beginning her 2nd business, DMC Clean Paint. She cleaned and painted spec homes, common residential, commercial properties. In 2010 she ended her company and took the position of Secretary for Kentucky Forest Products, in which her and her husband acquired the family business after a fire that destroyed his facility. She currently holds the position of Secretary and Vice President. for KY Forest Products Inc. In Dec 2013 she began the company Wildcat Fencing Co. LLC, and although she felt the community needed a reputable company she was surprised at how successful the fence company became is such a short time. Wildcat Fencing Co. LLC is a dedicated, sound company that does commercial, residential and farm fencing. In 2015 her son partnered up with her, he obtains half the company, and has been the driving force in building the business into what is now a premier fencing company in that area. Dawn and Odel purchased their first farm in 2006 in Laurel Co. calling it Four Winds Farms, in hopes this farm would be the first in many. Their daughter took over that farm as partnership with her parents in 2015 and has built up this farm, homesteading and refurbishing the farm making it viable for self sustained living. In 2016, Dawn and her husband bought a second farm, this too in Laurel Co and will add this farm to the Four Winds Farms name as Four Winds Farms as Dancing Eagle Farm" in which her and her husband Odel reside there.
