I was always bigger than others my age! Even when very young I looked and understood things in unusual ways, making my thoughts quite different! I was about 5 years and my Father Delivered Coke a Cola on a Route in Hollywood, delivering to the Movie Studios, shortly there after he took on a Partner and bought a Solid Core Door Manufacturing Plant in Santa Fe Springs! To keep me busy, by bringing home Scrap Lumber for me to play with. One evening coming home from work, he found I had Built a Small Two-Story Structure in the front yard, all without and nails or screws to hold it together, a building that he could Stand on top of without it falling down!
Around 8 years old I already weighed over 100 pound, I became interested in Model Cars. I was an avid car builder and it was after more than two years assembling Cars, that I learned that the paper work that came with each Model, was not to keep the Glue that I used for assembly, off the Table! I could look at a part, and Knew what it was and where it went one the Car!
I went through a sudden Growth Period and by 10 years I weighed 165 Pounds, a large kid! Christmas that year, I received a 26" Bicycle, and a month later the 10-Speed bikes were introduced! I Wanted one, but my Patents could not afford one, so I worked hard Mowing Laws, Washing Cars and doing Odd Jobs for Neighbors or anything to earn Money, I was Determined! I had made Friends with the owner of my local Bicycle Shop,he allowed me access to the Catalogs had had on Bike-Parts, Reading through all of these, I was able to find a Rear Sprocket with 3-Gears and a Derailer that I could use that Fit my 26 inch Bike! I ordered these and Paid Cash from my earnings. After these arrived, I installed them, and now I had a 9-Speed Bike, but I was still not satisfied! I wet back to the Bike-Shop and did more Research, and Discovered that I could by 3-Gear Crank Sprocket and Derailed that would work with this 3-Gear Crank Sprocket, needless to say I was Elated! By the time I starts High School, I owned the ONLY 27-Speed Bicycle in Existence! This Bike was Geared to Run more than 80 Miles per Hour! Unfortunately it was Stolen the third day of High School! I now Weighed 202 pound at 13 years old, and on the First-Day the Football Coach was watching the Fresh-Men enter the Gymnasium, the Coach looped me through my arm a said 'Follow me Son"! I was Varsity Exponents @ 13 years old! He talked yo me about playing Football, and I was seriously interested but it was not to be! You see, I blew my Left Knee out playing Base Ball! I walked using Crutches for the next year and my local Doctor had to take Huge-Syringe and Drain the Blood that accumulated in me Knee for the next 6-months! Needless to say, I was Uninsurable, so I never played Foot Ball!
By my Junior Year I turned 16 a got my Drivers Licence, I now weighed 235 Pounds, yeah-a Big Kid!
