Hello my name is Caesar Guyot,
I was born on August 8, 1961 in Los Angeles, California. I was raised with the knowledge from my parents of my ancestral ties to the 7th wards in New Orleans dating back to the 1700's. I spent a large part of my life from childhood to present day traveling to New Orleans and developing a kinship with the city and my native culture, needless to say I fell in love with the city. I attended school in Los Angeles at St. Anselm's Catholic Elementary, Serra Catholic High School and West Los Angeles College, all of which had a very large community of Creole's that furthered my interest in learning more about my people, our culture and the city in which we came from.
I, like my forefathers learned a number of skills that I apply to my current business practices, I am experienced in many areas and have a wealth of skills that I currently apply to the work that I do in California and New Orleans, such as; carpentry, construction, design, locksmithing, investigation, real estate, residential/ commercial energy auditing, public speaking, motivator and mentor. My primary job is as a landlord and I deal with multiple properties located in San Juan Capistrano, California and New Orleans on a daily basis. I consider myself determined, focused, and eternally optimistic, a visionary and I feel that I am destined to live my life's purpose to make a difference.
I am currently a partner Power Real Estate Solutions in Orange County, California. I believe that investing in real estate is the true path that leads to financial success and independence. We offer construction and design consultation, staging, and a full range of real estate services, which includes, prospecting, sales, purchase representation and mortgage finance.
In my spare time I volunteer my time coaching and motivating individuals by holding workshops and seminars in Los Angeles and New Orleans, teaching low income, first time home buyers, the credit challenged and novice investors on how to build wealth through real estate. I mentored young men and women, educating them on essential life skills and basic financial propensity. I am the proud recipient of The Urban Excellence Award that I received in August 2006 for the work that I've done within the Los Angeles community and for my dedication to empowering, inspiring and motivating others to achieve financial independence.
November 2005, my success story was featured in Consumer Focus News, a real estate publication, which stated; "Caesar strives to help others realize that with proper planning, financial independence is inevitable. He believes that anyone can experience success and profit from real estate as he has. His determination and drive has paid off, as today Caesar Guyot is a businessman, entrepreneur, inspirational public speaker and a truly successful investor with an impressive real estate portfolio in Los Angeles and New Orleans area worth millions".
Although I wasn't born in New Orleans I consider it home and I was there working my place Uptown as Hurricane Katrina approached the Gulf Coast. My cousins and I wisely evacuated to Houston and returned right after to start rebuilding the town we so love. I own multiple properties throughout the metropolitan area of New Orleans, all of which were damaged by the storm so I had the daunting task of picking up the pieces and pushing forward in a city that was written off and was barely standing. Since then I have renovated and now own and manage 14 properties, from low income shotgun doubles in Treme to plush upscale rentals located in the highly sought after Uptown University area of New Orleans. I am the proud owner of La Maison Prudeaux, an Executive Rental and student housing in the University area of New Orleans, this property has been in my family since 1956.
I was inspired by my experience and devastation that I witnessed in hurricane Katrina so I co-founded Chez Nous Holdings with my partner Kristina Brown, a property development company, designed to restore and redevelop New Orleans Historical Creole Neighborhoods one block at a time. The company was initiated to develop low income, affordable housing, provide development, financial and planning assistance to homeowners and businesses seeking to rebuild in the areas of New Orleans. We provide low income housing with incentives to transition from renting to owning and counseling on the financial planning process.
I've done my part to enlighten, educate and encourage my network of family, friends and the community at large to take part in the historic renaissance that is currently taking place in New Orleans. I am determined and focused on my goal to make a difference in my communities and to leave a positive imprint for future generations. My favorite pastimes are spent on DIY home projects, kayaking, SCUBA diving, hiking, traveling, collecting and restoring Porsche's. I'm a husband and father co residing in Laguna Beach area in California as well as Park Island in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I am doing my part to ensure the future for my family legacy.
