Barbara Ladd was born in 1959. Barbara currently lives in Brookport . Before that, she lived in Paducah , KY from 1989 to 1992. Married my best friend in 1975. We met through our common interest, all things motorcycles. He was a professional AMA Flat track racer. I grew up riding from age eight. A couple of girls and the guys. Oh the sixties and seventies. So much more of a sense of humor with law enforcement. Many of us rode the back roads to get to our favorite riding trails. The law overlooked us for the most part. Mike and I met briefly at a mutual friends house as had just gotten his first bike. Briggs and Stratton pull start w/o suspension. I got a Honda 50 Mini Trail later that same year. I was 8 years old at the time. So funny! However we never saw each other againtil he formerly introduced himself at an indoor race in January 1974. Well history is 42 years and a motorcycle, ATV and watercraft store we owned and operated for 17 years together. We did much traveling the AMA race curcuit before tying down to business in 1985. We both loved motorcycle riding on and off road. Watercraft was a blast, also. We loved trying new experiences. Skydiving, glider planes riding thermos, Richard Petty driving experience, house boating w/o a phone and spelunking to name a few. We took our son most everywhere we went (his choice) and raised him on the race track amongst the best race family from all around the United States. By the time he was grown he had over one hundred cell phone contacts of purely race related family from coast to coast. We also have a daughter (from another mother) that came to live with us at age 14. Her Mom and I are great friends and that's a good thing. Only wish we had been together earlier. Time flies! Have 8 grandchildren (one diseased) and we are proud, grateful and humbled by the fun, interesting and blessed life we share. He now is in the local pipefitter and plumbers union. I own a small salon here close to home. I no longer work as a operating cosmetologist but am blessed with four wonderful ladies that independently run their business that makes the salon today! My hubby and I have been slowly building our hotrod. 1930 model A. Full NHRA chassis equipped with a 350 small block Chevy blower motor. We just cruise with an occasional burn out or two. To afraid to break it! We are still best friends today after all the short years together. Can't ask for anything better. Well maybe just more time! That's about it.
