Alice Theresa Dax has passed away, we regret to report; date of death was 03/11/1997, Alice was 75 years old at the time. Alice was born and raised in Allentown, PA, and lived there nearly her entire life - aside from a brief time living in Philadelphia while married to Dr. Charles Schiffert. She is survived by her brother Irving Dax of Landesberg, PA, nephews Eugene J. of Northampton, Scott of Landesberg, Glenn of Tucson, AZ, and Kurt of Largo, FL as well as nieces Dolores (Brown) of Sunbury, Barbara (Quinlan) of Whitehall, Vicki Ann (Michalerya) of Northampton, and Audra Jean of Los Angeles, CA. She was predeceased by her parents Louis and Julianna (formerly Madl), her older brother Eugene Anthony, as well as her niece Francine. Alice was a graduate of Moravian College and she remained loyal to her college friends throughout her life. She was a Catholic and a member of her neighborhood association. Alice was also a polyglot who was fluent in English, French, and German. While she was the first to admit that the culinary arts were not her specialty, she was a great conversationalist and was known for her sharp wit, frugality, and love for animals.   Full Summary
