Kansas

Kansas is a Midwestern state that's home to over 2.9 million people. Its unofficial nickname is "The Free State" after the abolitionists prevailed against the pro-slavers in 1861. Today, Kansas is one of the most productive agricultural states in the US, yielding large amounts of wheat, corn, sorghum, and soybeans. Kansas is also known for being the first home of Pizza Hut when it opened its doors back in 1958.
